Welcome to Main Street! Tools play themes inspire colorful mural

Children’s Corner Preschool teacher Amalia Berrocal brightened up her Piscataway Township school with a panoramic view of a fictional “Main St” that incorporates imagery related to Tools play themes: Family, Grocery, Restaurant, Medical, Pet/Vet, Community, School, and Camping.  

“The project reflects my belief in the power of art and technology to transform schools into spaces filled with joy, creativity, and wonder,” says Berrocal, who created the design and led a team of colleagues in painting it. The finished mural, which features one key image evoking each theme, provides children with a visual anchor for the Tools themes that will transform their classrooms throughout the year.
