O-fish-ally reading 🐠

Children in Ms. Paul’s class at Christina Seix Academy in Trenton, New Jersey, love to read on a special Tools app that enhances their reading experience through an interactive format and embedded supports, for children to read independently or with their peers.

During the class’s Ocean theme, children read books about sea animals. The books feature content-rich vocabulary and provide children with opportunities to practice foundational literacy skills like phonemic awareness, fluency, and comprehension. Readers work together to track words in a sentence, read new words with the help of the Tools Sound Map, and answer questions.

Rising tide 🌊

One of the most rewarding parts of Ms. Paul’s day is watching her children’s confidence grow as they read on the app.

“What I love most is how the app keeps students actively engaged while reinforcing the skills we practice in class. They are not just learning—they are collaborating, thinking, and applying their knowledge in real time.”
